Posts You Should Have So Far

These posts should now be completed. 

If you are missing any of the following, you are behind and
will need to work hard now to catch up.



  1. Horror genre post according to DISTINCT.
  2. 'The History of Horror' post: a complete summary of changes and trends in horror film production over the last 100+ years.
  3. 'Narrative Theory in Relation to Halloween and The Crazies' post. Responses to the twelve questions (six for each film) should be blogged and accompanied by relevant images and clips.
  4. 'The Representation of Women in Horror in Relation to The Cabin in the Woods' post. Responses to the six questions should be blogged and accompanied by relevant images and clips.
  5. 'Audiences and Institutions: The Woman in Black' post. The six questions on marketing The Woman in Black - again, add images and clips when needed.

  7. 'Research and Planning: Individual Ideas'. Your own idea for a film with synopsis, character profiles, setting details and proposed audience.
  8. 'Research and Planning: Initial Group Meeting' post. The four tasks on writing a synopsis, character profiles, setting and target audience.
  9. 'How Research Impacted Our Ideas' post. A look at how key media theory (genre, representation, narrative, audiences and institutions helped shape your idea.
  10. 'Audience Research: Questionnaires'. Paste/post your questions on the blog.
  11. 'Trailer Analyses: Key Conventions'. Embedded trailers with a bullet point list of conventions (from the sheet).
  12. 3 X Poster Analyses. All horror posters please.
  13. 3 X Magazine Cover Analyses. At least 2 film magazine covers please.
